Finish works wonders

Had a bit of trouble with the old alfa lately runnig a bit ruff and narrowed it down to the maf. Bought a new original bosch one changed it now everything is back to normal. I then read a thread on cleaning the maf so i thought i'd give it a go then i'd have a spare.
dropped it in some isopropranol, left i over night then blew it out with compressed air in the morning, refitted it back to running ruff. put the new one back in then i had an idea, why not try the dishwasher. so i popped it on the top shelf dropped in a tablet an set the cycle running. i then left it a couple of days to dry out. when i tried it in the car again it was perfect just the same as the new one. i'm not suggesting everyone should do this but is definaitly worth a try as a last resort.
