gt 3 years warranty and jtd m?

hi folks

hope this is the right forum page??

having just got my 06 gt jtd and use dit for a w/e trip to cornwall an dback ,some 600 miles around trip , great car ,spped not a problem or ahem economy at 100mph cruising.

now then - the dealer gt leaflet says that cars after 2004 have 3 year warranty, is this true as the dealer wasn't sure , I may ring alfa helpline , but thought i would check on here first.

is my car a jtd m or .. the engine cover says jtd as does the logbook , so how can i be sure its jtdm variant , if at all

thanks
chris

Re: gt 3 years warranty and jtd m?

As I understand it, the 3rd year warranty is provided and paid for by UK retailers. If you have an import it may not have one, which would leave a 2 year pan-european only. If it has it will cost someone £25 to transfer. Alfa dealers and ARUK should be able to confirm this.
The 3rd year used to be just about useless, but ARUK seem to be accepting a more liberal view recently.

Re: gt 3 years warranty and jtd m?

well then , after a bit of investigation it appears that my nice newish car is a parallel import ,but a uk spec.

how does /could this affect resale value - I know in the bike market it changes things.

what about recall information

I am arguing it out with the dealer ,whjo of course did not mention this , so I am losing my 3rd year aa cover un uk and europe , ****ed off is not quite true.

thanks for listening
