Exhaust manifold bracket

This cracked on me and the dealer said it was grand to just take it off (got the rattle at 2500rpm). They said there was no need to replace it. Is it ok or should I order the part and get it put on?

Thanks

Re: Exhaust manifold bracket

It'll be ok left off. Replaced 2 on my old 156 within 8 months. Took it off in the end.

They always break.

Re: Exhaust manifold bracket

Funnily enough have just collected my replacement today as it didnt look too difficult to change, famous last words. Interestingly they have changed the part number and quite clearly re-designed it in heavier metal and doubled the price! Will take a photo for comparison when I have a look at doing it this weekend...
