Electric windows

My electric windows go all the way up/down when i press the switch. Only way to stop them half way is to flick the switch the opposite way to the way they are going. Any ideas whats up?

Re: Electric windows

Just the front. Actually if I literally tap the front ones they do stop ao maybe they're just very sensitive to pressing.

Are you sure they're not automatic like mine, where if I press it once they go all the way down, but if I hold the button, they go for as long as I hold the button?

(Actually, that's not quite true, my Super is completely opposite to the QV and TS in that you have to hold the button to make it go all the way, so I think a new switch is needed.)

Re: Electric windows

The 156 windows are a bit sensitive. You'll notice if you hold the buttons for about 1 second both will go down automatically.

The passenger one does not go up in this way.

You can do as Badgers said and hold the button down. But I think you still need to flick it back to stop them.

I usually flick the switch back on itself quickly just to keep them in the position I want. HTH's
