156 brakes issue

Thanks for advice on the Black Diamond brake discs. They are starting to get better n ow that the black coating has started to wear off.

A friend pointed out to me yesterday that they are in fact handed and that I have fitted them on the wrong way round. Looking at the hole pattern I can't see what difference it makes.
It this true or is it a wind up

Brake Discs can be specific to one side of the car only. Depends what you ordered ..... )

Re: 156 brakes issue

they should be fitted so that when your driving forward the 'arch' the drilled bits make move forward, ie, the end of the arch on the outside of the disk hits the pad first.

does that make any sense at all? lol

Re: 156 brakes issue

Not all brands recommend the same direction, I had one fantastic set of discs which had the direction marked on them and these were different from the Brembo discs I used later.

Re: 156 brakes issue

Unless you have very expensive discs where the internal venting is directional, it doesn't make much difference.
