G.T. 1.9jtd Air filter, help needed :(

Hi Guy`s,

Had my Diesel GT about a month or so now, and need to try and change the air filter, but have no idea how to do it ,spent over 15 mins trying to suss it out, but no luck!!!

had a 156 JTD before this, and things seemed a lot easier on that than the GT, can anyone help and point me in the right direction
please.
Thanks in advance

I had changed mine yesterday. I was a heck of job. I thought it will take me at max an hour, in the end there where more than 4 hours (
You have to take the batery out and the suport of the batery, under ther car you have to take down the engine cover and then you can open the air fiter and pull the airfilter out.

My specialist did it in 5 minutes. (When I had a GT)

He said accessing it from the top is totally pointless.

He put the car on the ramps, pulled the lower tray off, bent down a long piece of metal that runs underneath the front bumper (otherwise this obscures the removal of the filter), then he ripped open the bottom of the airbox and replaced the filter.
