i'd recommend something warm and waterproof for those winter breakdowns when the AA take 2 hours.

Sorry for the hijack Jimmy but going off topic slightly, where do people keep the Car Instruction book/Service book in their 156?
Mine is floating around the boot at the mo!
The glove box is tiny! Just big enough to fit my sun glasses in!!

i keep all documentation in the document wallet, safely stored in the house. it adds value, prevent theft, and also makes it easier for you to organise service/tax/mot/insurance if everything is in one easy to access place indoors.

In my GT I have rain water in one storage box and the manual binder and some cloths in the other.
Hopefully after today, no more rain water.

I used to keep the manual binder in the boot of my 156, secured with the velcro strap.

I find my halfords digital tyre inflater fits perfectly in the left hand one, and it's just tight enough to not rattle - unlike the parcel shelf :-)

Re: GT Glove Boxes In boot - How do you use yours?
Ha ha, you guys are crazy - Cheese, borrowers, lager and a life raft. Might not be putting any of those in but will go for cleaning kit, breakdown kit, tyre pressure gauge and possibly the sat nav.
I heard a rumor that thieving toerags can detect the sat nav in your car even if it is switched off. Is this true or poppycock?

Re: GT Glove Boxes In boot - How do you use yours?
I think they can "detect" the circular sucker marks on the windscreen if you use a windscreen mounted one, otherwise, not as far as I know.
Anyway - as for boot stuff - I keep a can of Selenia in the boot of my 156, tethered with the velcro strap.

Used to keep the dog's lead and drying off towels in them. Missed them in the Brera.

Re: GT Glove Boxes In boot - How do you use yours?
Mine has log book etc (as it doesn't fit in the front glove box), locking wheel nuts. Then the other a spare dog lead, dog treats & dog sh*t bags (just to be clear they are un-used!!)
