GT Air Con

Not sure if this is the area for this but here goes

I have had my GT for about 4 weeks now and I have noticed that when I run the air con the front passenger footwell gets wet. I have taken it back to the dealers(Wilsons of Romford) twice now (this is were it is now) First they told me it was a blocked drain pipe now they tell it is a design fault comon to GT's and 147's. It may need a new heater box(?). It will all be done under warrenty so I'm not to bothered. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? And how was it cured?

The biggest problem is that as a courtesy car they have given me a Mitsibishi Colt (Roller Skate) Still, at least it gets me about

Re: GT Air Con

I've had my GT since January on 55 plate, even though I had my fare share of problems, I not had this problem, nor do I think that this is a common fault!

Good luck.

Re: GT Air Con

Check in the 147/156/GT lounge with a search,
there are loads of old threads on wet 147 footwells
with various causes and solutions.

Re: GT Air Con

My GT has had every "common" fault and some quite un-common ones too, but not this one, thank the lord!

Re: GT Air Con

I have just contacted ARUK customer services and they have responded straight away and will contact the dealer where my car was purchased.

If you are still unhappy try this route.

Re: GT Air Con

Hi, i had this, mine was a 2005. Apparently it was a service recall, the drain pipe is to short so they fit a longer one, done on mine all ok now.

They should know this

Good luck
