February 1998 Alfa 156 2.5 V6.

Front bumper removal should be the same regardless of engine I think

Re: Front Bumper Removal Guide?

I find it hard trying to turn the 2 screws on the center panel with a book. But feel free to try following the below guide.

Wheels off,

5 screws for each arch inside cover (you can just undo the front 2 and prise it out the way enough though),

6 screws for the front trim panels under the bonnet,

14 screws to hold the bumper on ( 3 under front end, 4 on top of the front end, 3 inside at the top right, 1 lower right, 2 inside at top left, 1 lower left),

Pull bumper away slightly,

Disconnect light washer hose connection and fog light loom plug (if equipment is fitted).

Re: Front Bumper Removal Guide?

If it's the front one of the 'three in a row' it's a ball joint type thing and the bumper just pulls off it. I think it is to make it easier for one person to reinstall the bumper on their own by the look of it.
