Re: Pollen Filter Replacement??

i have just done mine on a 2001 156 1.6 t. spark. its located under the passenger side front window trim under bonnet. just remove trim and its there. to remove trim take out two screws at edge of screen and inside near hinge then a sharp tug on panel as there are 4 panel clips. and its under there.

Re: Pollen Filter Replacement??

Where is the pollen filter on a 2005 156? I've looked under the near side scuttle trim and can't see it. It could have been removed, but I'm trying to find why my heater air flow is low, even with the fan on full speed, and I was hoping to find a blocked pollen filter.

Thanks armoore, that's brilliant. Interesting that the Japs call the passenger seat the 'suicide' seat. It says something about their driving.

Drop the fan out and you might find the missing pollen filter, I've seen that a few times.

All 156s: under the N/S Scuttle panel.

All 147s: under the center dashboard.

Re: Pollen Filter Replacement??

The facelift interior have them in the passenger footwell - it is also a two piece filter rather than the one piece filter used on the earlier ones.

Re: Pollen Filter Replacement??

I've had a look, and yes it is in the passenger footwell - or at least it once was. That explains why I'm getting such little air flow through the vents. Not only is the pollen filter missing, but so is the surround for it, so there's no connection between the outlet from the fan and the inlet to the heater matrix. I wonder why. It also explains why the car won't heat up - there's all that cold air from outside being blown straight into the car.
