clutching at straws

following on from an earlier post 'noisey gearbox' the noise seems to be a chattering noise when driving,my mate suggested that it might be the clutch release bearing, is it possible as i only thought they rattled when stationary where as mine does'nt.
any thoughts on this..

Possible.. my clutch was making noise like this before I had it changed last week.

When I depressed it, it went away..

Re: clutching at straws

I think your earlier posts mentioned a noise in drive mode? Normally when the clutch release bearings run dry, and the ball race start's to give out, this manifests itself as a rasping, screeching, sort of noise when the clutch pedal is depressed? Sounds as if yours is more of an internal transmission fault, but can't be sure of course.: Someone may have other ideas though, so the best of luck, and hope it's a relatively easy fix.:

Re: clutching at straws

Best bet for a replacement would be from a reputable transmission repairers with a warranty? You may locate a decent one from other sources, so it's worth shopping around I guess.:
