Anyone else's door make this sound?

Well I was out today cleaning my missus's car, so I thought I'd open the windows on mine and turn the stereo on ... then when I closed the passenger door (with the window fully down) it made a horrible clanking sound ... after trying it a couple of times I've come to the conclusion that with the window fully down the glass is not held in place as well as it should be, and the window was rattling around inside the door ...

... is my car "special" or is everyones as rubbish as mine?

Hi Chris, Alfa 155's had bad electric window problems too. I was one of several managers who leased them, their party piece was when you pressed the button to close them, was they just kept rising until they flipped out and smashed on the road. As Hansen on BBC's MOTD would say "unbelievable"
But, as usual back then, Alfa finally sorted the problem - but unfortunately not before many thousands of faulty vehicles were already in the market place. If it was not for their fabulous sounding responsive engines, the AR marque could have died a death in the UK, just like Fiat's Lancia did.
