Is it easy to replace the bushes?

How easy is it to replace the rear Hub Bushes on a 147?

I've been looking for any advice but keep coming up empty handed, are there any step by step guides you can recommend.

Thanks

Re: Is it easy to replace the bushes?

If they need replacing, the old bush will just fall out, but you still need to remove the steel outer sleeve. You can cut a slot in that, which will loosen it and that too will fall out.

The "fly in the ointment" though is that usually the bolt that goes through the bush is fitted the wrong way round at the factory. So the nut is on the inside and the bolt won't come out because the brake disc is in the way! (fit it the other way round when putting it back together).

I think the new bush may need a proper puller (or a home made widget) to get it in parallel.

Cheers for the advice, they were getting a bit squeaky at one point but have now decided to stop squeaking, bought some replacements last year, just need to get round to fitting them.
