radio code

hi there proud new owner of my 1st alfa
need help
battery went flat other day while cleaning car wi radio on lol

after reading other posts i beleive if i post my serial number on ere some one can work out my code
here goes then

mine used to say code but now i've got teh code it just has four minus symbols in a row, and wont let me enter a code - what does that mean?

where is the ice lounge?

Either the radio is just in wait mode - ignition and radio needs to be left on uninterupted for anything from 30mins up to 8 hours before it will let you have a go at entering the code...........

Or, if yours is the rad/cass built by Alpine or Clarion, these have a habit of going into wait mode and then the timer SW crashes. This means it stays in wait mode and the only solution is to have the timer SW reset manually on the bench (pro job only I'm afraid)

yeah it's the inbuilt clarion one, so i need to take it to an alfa dealer to get sorted? thanks for your advice :]

Not usually.

Normally just needs the radio turned on for an hour then the "----" will change to "CODE" and you can enter the code.

You will need the ignition on the whole time otherwise the radio will turn off after about 20minutes.
