ABS ASR Problems

Help, where do I look, i'm having problems with a alert ABS ASR system failure coming up each time the car starts. Whe starting the car, you put your foot on the brake then start then engine. As soon as you take your foot off the brake, the alert comes up. So this automatically makes you think it may be something to do with the brake switch. However I've just checked this out and it seems to be working fine. There is only one switch by the brake pedal which seems to only operate the brake lights. Is there another switch down there?
Another reason for suspecting the brake switch is that my cruise control decided at the same time to stop working.
HELP where do I start to look?

Re: ABS ASR Problems

i think the only thing you can do for this is plug it into the diagnostic. it should tell you where the problem is.
