147 JTD 'ticking' - Like a clock!

When I come to a standstill and there's no road noise, and the radio is switched off, I can hear a faint 'ticking', exactly like a clock. It's every second (like clockwork), and I can't figure out where it's coming from! Has the previous owner left a watch in the car? Or is there something I'm missing?

I get something similar sometimes, but its more like every 2 or 3 seconds

Just did a search (which I guess I should have done first - sorry!), and apparently it's just the AC! Glad it's nothing major (like a bomb).

Does yours turn itself on?-Mine does and so did the one in my 156-Reallyy p*sses me off!

I get a ticking noise too - like something is loose, but it even seems to do it at a standstill. At first I took everything out of the glovebox and door pockets etc to make sure it wasn't something I'd crammed in... It's still doing it!

They all do it!

Its a stepper motor in the climate control vent diverter section, you cant fix it.
