Re: Chrome front bumper whiskers on a GT

Clare has gone shopping to Fosse Park - in the GT

It's not an easy job. I've separated the chrome bits from the complete inserts and cleaned them up. Swine of a job involving a drill and some strong twine to cut through the adhesive. Easier than removing the front bumper though

As soon as she comes back it's out with the EVO stick & on with the whiskers (if it stops raining). I'll hold it in place with masking tape overnight.

GT comes to Italy with us next Sunday so got to have her looking sweet (Clare & the car).

Will have the post 2006 MY onwards look, especially as we've bought the chrome BOSE tweeter inserts.

On the private plate, no one will tell

Simon & Clare

2.2 JTS 159 Ti in Grigo Stromboli and 3.2 V6 GT in Rosso Alfa

So do I. He should have gone with her and done the job in the car park while Mrs SR shops.

Re: Chrome front bumper whiskers on a GT

What a swine of a job

Evo Stick seriously strong adhesive my arse

Had to botchorama a "keep it held down" device

Tomorrow, fingers crossed they will be stuck, Will then have to clean off the surplus glue that sets like rubber

While it's all drying, I took the 4 locking bolts off the wheels, rubbed them down, Kurusted them and painted them silver. The rest of the bolts have chrome covers on them so the lockers were really letting the side down

I'll be driving over to Turin in 6 weeks time. Any recommendations on the route and how long it takes after you've crossed the channel? I need to sort out a nice route with one or two stops as we've got a 16month old daughter. Cheers.
