headlight adjustment

Folks,
Not had the car for a week yet so I am still finding my way round. i have noticed though that my headlight beam appears to be a little low even after setting the dial to zero.
it was to cold to look to hard today but can I easily raise the beam height from the engine bay? and how do I do it?
Cheers

Re: headlight adjustment

I had the same problem on my GT. The lights were so low it was positively dangerous to drive at night. I parked the car at night about six foot back from the garage door, with the lights on and ran a line of masking tape along the top edge of the beam pattern. I then used the adjusters on the light assembly (they were the inboard adjusters on each unit) to raise the beams against the masking tape by about an inch. Road tested it and then adjusted in the same manner again, until they were right. The masking tape allows you to adjust back to a reference point if you need to, but be sure to have the car the same distance from the garage door each time!

Re: headlight adjustment

A bulb went on my GT 3.2 and you can't replace them without removing the front! I took the opportunity to have all the bulbs replaced with Zeon bulbs and what a difference! Just £30 for the bulbs and local garage did the work for £80 all in.
