This one is odd. My 145 cloverleaf (plastic topped 2.0) was serviced at 74k (by me, to a high standard, using the correct grade of oil (millers XSS)
now, 4 months on i am at 76k, the oil is dark brown and the engine doesn't seem to be as smooth as it should. The level seems to remain consistant and i have never had to put any more oil in.
I can only assume that i am getting a little blow by (i blame it on the oil) so my plan is to:
Put in a bottle of the finest, Forte engine flush
Drive the car for a few days
Replace the oil with ONLY selenia 20k + a new filter
My mpg is a bit pish too so i will replace the lambda and Maf for good measure (maf is a fake from ebay, i don't trust it, and i think it caused it to run rich too, thus killing the lambda).
Hopefully after that little lot i should have a healthy engine again.
My idle problem is returning again so not happy
