Here's the SP on mine.......
I bought it 30 months ago with a full history and on 54k (inc cambelt change, wishbones, all new discs and pads etc etc), with a docket full of receipts as proof. I paid slightly over the odds for it, but it was by far and away the best example I could find after weeks of searching. So, I hands over my money and sets off home. Guess What? It breaks down on the way home, luckilly the seller was a very decent guy and handed my cash back; I didn't have to threaten to burn his house down and of course he could have said....."you bought it". He gets it fixed (BB of B - what else?) and I buy it off him again. Re-arrange if you will....let rule heart head your.
So - in my ownership, I have replaced/fitted/paid for the following;
All tyres (2 sets up front)
Clean Throttle Body
Aircon Test (electrics, surprisingly)
Discs and Pads all round (note - to do next week)
Full exhaust system
Stepper Motor (erratic idle)
New Alfa Badges
Secondary oil and filter change EVERY six months
Whilst all the above work wasnt strictly necessary - I love the car and I want it all to work, just as it should.
The moral is - be very, very selective. I am afraid to add up the costs above.
