Up for sale is my W Reg Phase2 145 Cloverleaf which I have owned from new, so no previous owners. Registered on 28.07.2000 has full Alfa service history by dealers & also by Jamie Porter in more recent years. Car is original & unmodified. It has been kept garaged for the past 9 years. Won best in class at Spring Alfa Day this year, & has certificate & cup that come with the car.!
Colour: Proteo Red
Current mileage is 127,900 miles – mainly motorway miles.
Mot until 7th August 2016 ( no advisories).
Last service was May 2015 which included new cambelt, & waterpump.
In the last 12 months the following have also been replaced:
Spark Plugs, Radiator, front wishbones, brake discs, pads & brake flexis.
Mechanicals : Currently no mechanical issues with this car. Clutch was replaced 3 years ago. Engine has a small oil leak between engine & gearbox which has been there for about 6 or 7 years. It consistently loses about a tablespoon over 12 months. Rocker cover gasket was replaced this year after it sprung a small leak.
Bodywork:The front bumper has a lot of stone chipping (white rash). I had the front bumper resprayed 9 years ago because of all the stonechips, but it’s now back looking the same as before. A few parking dings & scratches around which don’t show up on photos, but the paintwork is very shiny. One foglight is cracked – but still works. The driver’s door was repaired by a car restoration specialist about 6 years ago after I side-swiped a bollard. It was worth the £400 repair bill…..I think.
Electrics: Main issue is the wiper stalk. Works ok on flick wipe, wash wipe, & fast speed. But Intermittent/normal setting works… intermittently. I think the stalk contacts need cleaning? One heater control dash bulb is out. Other than that everything works ok. Rear wiper works – motor was replaced last year,(salvage part). Aircon has been working ok this summer- was re-gassed last year. The car has an electric sunroof which was an optional extra on the QV.
Floor Pan: I’ve had the floor pan re-undersealed twice in recent years, (including cavity wax sealing), so was a bit peeved when it needed welding this year for the first time. Only 2 small patches needed doing – those pesky drainage holes apparently.
Interior: . Small patch of material rubbing on the back seat from when we had a baby car seat in there. Has set of Cloverleaf mats, but the drivers one is a bit worn. Have a spare set of grey Alfa mats. There is a very small crack in the rear tailgate interior trim panel. No rips or tears anywhere in the seats.
Has all 3 keys including the brown master key.
Price is £975 ono. Hoping it will be handed over to an enthusiast.
The car is now off the road as of 11th Sept, locked away & about to be SORNED.
Insurance is now transferred to a new car so unfortunately it can't be test driven.
