i46 throttle issue
I was wondering if someone could help with a problem I'm having. I am driving an alfa 146 1.4 t-spark. I'm experiencing an unusual throttle issue.
The car starts, idles and drives quite well under normal conditions. However, when cruising in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear, if I release pressure on the accelerator (say to slow down approaching a junction) the car starts to jerk violently. If I reapply pressure on the accelerator, it accelerates fine.
I've noticed a lot of talk about mass air flow filters and lambda sensors on this and other discussion boards. I'm really not sure what to do with it. I wonder would anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to have to bring it to a dealer yet cause it seems like something that could be straight forward?
Any help would be much appreciated.
