This morning my 146 Ti woke me, my missis and the rest of our street up at 6am with a constant blarring of its horn!
I rushed out in only a pair of jeans and unlocked/locked it, which silenced it for about 5 seconds! (my neighbours really love me, I can tell by the way they glare at me now!)
In the end I disconnected the battery and did what every sane person would do....went back to bed!
When I got up again, I tried the switch in the boot to turn the alarm off, but on reconnecting the battery, the horn still sounded. (sorry again, old lady over the road!)
After having a look under the bonnet, in the horn area I noticed a metal plate/block type thing, which has corroded off the body near the horn, it has a red, black and white wire attached, but I'm not sure if they are contributing to the problem. Any ideas what they do? do they need to be earthed out, By looking, it looks as though one or two are insulated on the spade connectors attached to the plate bit thats rusted off.
Any help much appriciated
