Re: Fitting Pads and Disks
what a complete nightmare.....taken me yonks....
Goto move the old Jag so I can get round the back to our yard....kids have been playing in it and managed to leave every light on and drained the battery.... 15 mins of charging later, manage to remove said jag from driveway..
Get it jacked up, wheels off.....
for the love of god...how come I have every allen key on the planet except for a 7mm one? Traipsed down to Focus DIY....they have lovely hex sets with 10, 8 and 6mm but no 7mmm..... spent £10 on a new screwdriver set just to get the blaady 7mm fitmet..managed to eventually find a 7m hex snap in for a screwdriver and with some jiggery pokery with the socket set managed to get the caliper retaining screws out.
Can I get the bullet screws to even turn or the big nuts at the back? not a hope, after liberal dosings of oil etc...still not moving and i'm concious of rounded them off........i've accepted defeat as a safer option....fitted the new pads anyway, as the old ones were knackered....just have to get the garage to fit the new disks... 2hrs of arsing around...i'm not happy...
