Oil catch tank,

Whilst cleaning my throttle body the other day i noticed that the main induction pipe (maf to throttle) was quite heavily stained with oil vapour from the cam cover breather.

This can't be good for the MAF and is probably contributing to the speed in which the throttle body dirties.

Would it be a good idea to remove the breather pipe from the induction hose and relocate it to drain in a catch tank?

Re: Oil catch tank,

One of the induction kits (K&N) take the breather away from the intake, and just caps it in a little foam oil catcher so that only clean air vents; might be worth seeing if they do replacement elements which you could attach with a tie wrap?

Re: Oil catch tank,

Without going to look, the pipe your on about is after the MAF so has no effect on it...........
