Soggy Sensor

Travelling home on Friday I went through a few floods in my Cloverleaf (1997). I got home ok but car wouldn't start on Saturday due to a flat battery. The AA man said I've got water in my fan switch/relay or temperature sensor which caused the fan to stay on and flatten the battery. He disconnected the fan temporarily but I obviously need to get this fixed.

All the garages are booked up with flooded cars at the moment so hoping the boyfriend can fix it! Does anyone know a cheap place to get a new fan relay or temperature sensor? Or is it just something you have to get from an Alfa dealer?
