Re: Alfa 146 Engine's
the latast Alfa TS engines from 1996 onwards are essentially a Fiat engine with an Alfa head on it. but the twin cam engine used in the Fiat coupe is one of the last uses of the trusty old Lampredi series of engines which despite being designed in the 60s, through constant updates got fuel injection, 16 valves, a turbo and powered the Intergale at its most potent. This will fit in a 146 as the floor pan is shared with the coupe but also the Dedra, Delta 2 we did not get and the Alfa 155 Q4.
Trouble is going to decide how much to modify as the easiest swap, a current 2.0 TS, is not readily tunable, the more tunable engine will be the older Lancia based one but its more trouble to instsall.
