Agree with KG on this, lightweight indirect hammering.The spoon works as a reaction block, or dolly,this method is used to relieve high areas adjacent to the dent.The hammer blows reduce the ridges,the spoon, reaction block, dolly, raises the low area. The hammer as KG says, requires a high crown. A lot of cars are fairly lightweight sheet steel, so you should get results, with practice.
