You may have read a recent post about the clutch on my 146, it turned out to be a faulty unit and the replacement works ok but a few days after getting the car back a nasty rattle started that seems to be coming from the Catalytic convertor.
The CAT is only 6 months old.
Blow I thought will have to fork out and replace it but today on the way to work after the car had been running for approx 40 mins there has been a loss of power that feels like the engine is not giving its all, the engine will rev ok but it just dosent seem like it transfering it to the wheels, the clutch is not slipping?
Can anyone suggest what could have caused the CAT to start to rattle (it rattles more when cold and has got worse the last 2 days) and can this be associated to the lack of power.
Any help would be welcome as I am starting to lose faith with,
A. The car
B. My friend who fixeses it.
One other thing, one of the hoses to the heater matrix had to be replaced when the engine was slacked off to change the clutch and now there is very little/zero heat from it, is this a airlock? to be honest this is the least of the problems.
Help please I am at the moment a very depressed Alfa owner.
