Ahead of you there! I swapped everything over. I also kept the old one in case its of use to somebody.
Have had one or two difficulties in reassembly. The worst being that somehow the dipstick tube got bent and I never noticed and when I tried to put it back old hamfist here pushed the rubber seal into the engine :-(
Nuts! Not sure what to do over this. I guess I'd better take the sump off and hope its dropped to the bottom of the sump.
The manifolds are all back on. I have to put the two plastic covers that go behind the pulley wheels back on. Then I am ready to do the final torque down of the head bolts. I can then start set the timing up. Ccan't complete this as I can't put the inlet cam on until I receive the variator from EB Spares.
The cost so far is:
Head gasket set and new head bolts £97.50
Cambelt + Ten kit, water pump, aux belt £102.46
Balance belt + Ten kit, variator £147.46
Still to come is the oil+filter , plus a sump gasket possibly!, anti-freeze.
