Re: not a good start
The old cure might work. Put it in top gear, ignition off. Open bonnet and push the car forwards and backwards, just enough to see if the engine turns. If it doesn't turn keep going hoping that it will turn. If it does turn then the starter may be stuck disengaged. I don't know the 145, but with the old Lancia I had, I managed to hit the starter motor sharply with a piece of wood a few times, and it worked until I could get it up in the air to remove and clean the starter.
Someone with more knowledge of the 145 might have a different view of this.
