Need help with thermostat

Hi there I have the thermostat housing on my 146 1.6 out on the bench, but I can't get it open to replace thermostat any ideas it is turning?

Does it look like this if it does its a sealed unit you need to replace the whole lump

Yes.. the thermostats now live inside the complete housing. There's no point in dismantling it.. the new one will come in the complete housing too.

Make sure you have the right one for your car - check the Alfaworkshop or Shop4parts websites for images. The plastic connector "T" or "L" shaped is different depending on model and engine type.
