Well, I still believe it's the master cylinder who's at fault. But before splashing out your hard earned bucks on one, you could always try a brake bleed kit. You know, one of those that presurizes the reservoir (I suspect you can get them from Halfords) Quite a few years back I worked as a mechanic at a Saab dealership, and found out the hard way that the Saab 9000 was almost impossible to bleed without pressurizing the reservoir.
A couple of years back, I changed the clutch on my brothers 33 16V, and it took me a couple of hours bleeding that sucker. Even with a pressurized reservoir I struggled to get a small amount of feel into the pedal. Out of desperation, and having tried every trick in the book, I tried pushing back the slave cylinder piston, and locking it in place with a welding clamp. That did the trick.
