Thanks for the help McGuinn,
Sorry, I should have said, the rears are disks. I've just been reading the service PDFs. It mentions a "Brake Load Proporting Valve" but only for versions without ABS. My Alfina has ABS. It also mentions an "Brake force distributer", all of which I'm finding a bit confusing. There's no mention of dropping the fuel tank though for either. Well, here's hoping anyway
. As a side note, as it seems to be such an arse to get to, how have the MOT kids found it to be defective?
Glad to hear that the pipes are easy
. They were my biggest concern. Sorry to sound like such a dope, but I've no experience with them before. I'm assuming offside/nearside rear pipes are the ones that run from (in the manual diagrams) the four way distributor to the brake load proportining valve. Are the centre rear and the inner rear the ones running from the pump to the four way distibutor? Is it best to get a roll of pipe and bend/flare them myself or to get them ready made? In either instance, do the unions get reused or are new ones required?
Final question (I promise
) why is the MOT failure sheet listing the parking brake and service brake as two different things?
Thanks again, I hate to burden you with all my troubles.
