MPG = Miles per gallon.
1 Gallon (UK not US) = 4.546092 litres (lets just call it 4.54)
1 Mile = 1.609344 km (lets say 1.6)
A typical combined cycle mpg is may be 1 part 75mph, 1 part 56mph, and 2 parts Urban cycle.
(46.3 + 34.4 + 28.2 + 28.2) / 4 = 34.275 mpg
34.275 / 4.54 = 7.549559471 miles per litre
7.55 x 1.6 = 12.08 km per litre
So your 20 litre fill up should give about 241.6 km. (or 616km on a whole 51 litre tankfull!)
Of course, they are manufacturers figures, so in the real world you can expect a lot less!
