I've had two 145's and a 146. All boxers except this 145, which is the 1.8.
They can develop problems with the engine control devices, such as the MAF and lambda, but not any more than the 156 etc.
Anyway, you know where to go to get advice on that!
Just ensure that you see the car with the engine cold, and drive it for a while till she warms. You're listening for unusual noises, as you would in a 156.
Check the exhaust for rust, and knock money off for excessive amounts. Test ALL ELECTRICS including the blower hot/cold.
Handbrakes don't freeze over here on the East coast of Ireland. Too mild.
Everything else is as you would expect to find in another Alfa.
They do tend to be the choice of 'second car', do you will find lots of shopping dents and 'park-by-touch' marks!
