Engine Idle bobing - Boxer 1.7

New to this forum so hi fellow alfalovers.
looking for some advice about my idle problem

I have posted on the alfa145 forum but thought I'd hedge my bets!
I have also read all threads to do with idle- here on alfaowner forum.
I dont want to needlessly start replacing every sensor unless there is no other way.

Anyway My problem (and I could not shorten this sorry!):-
Idle is bobing around after running engine for 10 mins.
The revs seem to get progressively lower the hotter the engine gets after the revs get to the normal 1000rpm after start-45sec-1min, all seems normal, but after every touch of the accellerator the needle drops to a lower and lower level untill, aproximatly when it starts to get down to a shade under 800rpm it seems to hit some kind of 'magic' level that starts the bobbing effect between 550-800rpm for a good 10 seconds each time lifting off the gas.- causining me to stall it very easily, anyone had this/any ideas/or need any more info from me?

this is a list of things I have tried to fix it but made not differance:-
1.car put into an small garage - computer showed a dead cam sensor so
cam sensor replaced.(now they tell me computer says all checks out)
2.new batt
3.inlets balanced
4.all air suction tubes checked.
5.Idle Actuator Cleaned (not replaced)
6.changed oil.
7.cleaned out any trace of mayonaise.
8.new radiator (temp sensors Not replace though)
9.Lambda sensor was replaced 2 years ago
10.cleaned plugs(good order) & checked leads (leads are on old side)
11.AFM cleaned.

note: the car runs fine appart from this problem

Idea Re: Engine Idle bobing - Boxer 1.7

I think I may have fixed this problem now, I have disconnected the electrical conector to the engine coolant temperator sensor (the injector light comes on the panel but hey) and the revs are fine!, problem gone! all I need now is to try a replacement one.

will write the results here!
