I noticed the other day that my low beam headlight wasn't working on the driver side, so I thought to myself the bulb probably needs to be replaced... boy, was I wrong.
The bulb connector was so corroded and deformed by heat that it literally broke to pieces as I was trying to pull the bulb out
Fortunately I found a spade connector of the right size to use as a replacement, so that should keep the headlight working for now, but still, that wasn't a pleasant surprise.
(The bulb itself was fine btw, I plugged it back in and it works - the connector was the real cause.)
Strangely, the same connector on the other side of the car looks just fine - no heat deformation, no corrosion at all
