yES , Ihave spent considerable time on checks , I went over the 2E checks for the warning lights first as its the first step I reckon and this not planning the way I want it. If I take you through Test J
J1 : Proved OK as the continuity was good on both 12 and 15 assuming those are the numbers that give me the result I am looking for as there is no guide to match up the numbers given on the diagram with the plug . So I have started a picture if you see what I mean.
So moving on (OK)
J2 : I checked B3 at the intrument cluster and get near 11.00 volts instead of zero so I assume its not OK I took off the green connector to do this on the right hand side of the cluster and spotted the lght bl with w and got that signal and moved to J3.
J3 : Assuming I have found pin 1 of g273 (abs ecu) , I will go back to a do a con check on this wire to see if I end up with the right one, because according to the wiring diag its the other end of the wire leading to the intrument cluster abs light, so it also has a reading of 11.odd volts . According to the test J diagnostic I should be looking at a replaceable abs ecu as that test proves not OK am I right in thinking . Please?
I will go and try and remove the relays now and con check that wire.
OK the wire from the abs to the cluster is the correct one , so whether I am supposed to get v or no volts I am not sure , either way the dash light is not working and that wire (lght bl) is live while ign is on.
The relays are not removable so I cant check the power in and out at the terminals, this makes it difficult to check . I managed to get the lids of the relays and all I can surmise is that by pulling the contact on the Motor relay it energises the pump, while the other called the saftey relay it does'nt appear to do any thing , all the time I am monitoring the abs light by way of a mirror and not once has it come on !
Not looking good !
Looks like also I have missed doing checks on G272.
No 10 amp fuse found yet.
