With ABS, you can't (or shouldn't) push the pistons back!
You need to blead the fluid out through the nozzle on the caliper.
Do this with the cap firmly on the resevoir tank.
Clean the caliper up, grease the sliding bolts, enure that the pot is OK after puch-back or wind-back, and reassemble the unit with the new pads.
Fill the resevoir as you blead the system fully, ensuring that no air gets left inside...
