Before you yell idiot, I am a bit naive when it comes to advice on where do get work done on my alfa but at the end of the day if something breaks, I like to have the same thing replaced at a reasonalbe cost.
I needed a new exhaust for my '97 145 cloverleaf. I was advised to get a stainless steel exhaust as it would last longer - makes sense.
When I took it to the grage, I asked for exactly the same as what was already on it and wanted the sound to be the same, thinking the only difference would be the material.
The new exhaust now has a round cylinder at the rear, but the same tail pipe. It sounds a lot deeper and louder, a lot different in my opinion to my original exhaust. I paid £265 for this. Should I grow tro appreciate it or demand I have the proper alfa exhaust back? bearing in mind I cringe at the sound and look of enhanced exhausts on other cars(I'm sorry if I upset some of you by writing this, it's just an opinion).
