Help Squadra chip for 146Ti

Does anyone know whether fitting an after market air filter (K&N) would detrimentally alter the Squadra chip's performance? I'm guessing that becuase the chip has been designed around the original engine (therefore original air-flow), changing the standard flow would probably interfere...??

Any info would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

PS. Is the Squadra chip really as good as it everyone says it is?! I'm hoping so

Re: Squadra chip for 146Ti

I had the squadra with the K&N (panel filter) on my cloverleaf, didn't notice any problems, but then I never tried it without. I have heard that other makers filters are better for low-down torque than the K&N.
The Squadra is very good, as long as you're not expecting miracles.
You get a more responsive engine, with better low-down torque and less 'bunny-hopping' in traffic. You don't get a turbo
Incidentally, in my case, I also got better fuel economy with the chip.
