If it's just sluggish to turn over, have you checked the battery voltage?
It should read 12.6v with the engine off... If it's less that 11v then you need a new battery.
If you have a low battery voltage ( about 12 volts) then the battery may just need a re-charge but you should test the alternator output in case it's weak.
With the engine running at a fast idle (2000 rpm) you should get 14.6v across the battery terminals. If you get this much, then the alternator is fine.. so you need to work out why the battery voltage is low (frequent use for short journeys, infrequent use or using all the electrics would do it.. a bad radio connection that uses juice even with the ignition off would be another).
But before you waste time.. measure the battery voltage engine off and engine running. That will tell you what the actual problem is.
