Constant velocity joint - cover plate
/ My 145 got tow-truck-winch dragged in my absence - the drive shafts were not connected to the stub-axles. As an afterthought the operator lifted the drive shafts with wire. Naturally, nobody told me. I discovered it for myself while working on the gearbox.
/ One constant velocity joint at the gearbox end has a cover plate which is damaged (abutts to the stub axle). I see in a technical manual a picture of a mechanic holding the cover plate in one hand and the CV joint in the other.
/ How easy is it to remove that cover plate?
/ I must replace it to prevent internal abrasion of the CV joint and subsequent damage.
