Injection light on an varying idle on 1.6 Ti - Alu cover
It's a 1998 1.6 Ti with alu-cover.
Yesterday I desided to check for corrosion on the relay's in the enginebay.
Not that I had any problems. Just a pre-spring check!
They are all placed on the one side of the battery, closest to the front of the car.
So I pulled them out, cleaned them with a little WD40 and a cloth, and put them back in.
One at a time, so not to get anything mixed.
(One of the relays is a big red one. Whats that?)
Well, when I then started the Alfa, Injection Warning Light came on, and idle vas varying in a Vroom-Vroom-Vroom way.
Stopped the engine and redid the pull-out-replace of the relays.
Disconnected the battery for an hour, and tried starting again.
Warning light still on and varying idle.
Checked sparkplugholes for any water/oil. All fine!
The engine is able to run fine under normal trafficspeed conditions, but when stopping for red lights, the idle varies a little. Injection Warning Light is on constantly, when the motor is running.
