Wave Ti wheels on a boxer

Hi knowlegable Alfa folk,

I was thinking of getting some alloys from a 146 ti for my 146 1.6 boxer, as I am not a fan of plastic hubcaps and feel that bigger wheels would look the part.

But it got me thinking. If the bigger wheels are added, will that throw out the readings on the speedo and odometer? Surely they have been calibrated to the original wheel size and a change would mean that all the readings are inaccurate?

I am a stickler for originality and am only considering the ti wheels as I can't find any of the 1.7l boxer alloys, which would have been an option for my car when she was new. Any thoughts?

Re: Ti wheels on a boxer

Hey there... The 145/146 Alfa wheels when fitted with the standard profile tyres will all have similar rolling radii so will not affect the speedo.

I put some 15"s onto my boxer from a 164... IMHO they look good...!

I gave my m8 a set of late 155 alloys for his 1.7 16 valve 145 as they only came with 14's, the 155 wheels are 6.5x15 and look good on the car. He's running 195/50x15 instead of the 195/55x15 the cloverleaf has as standard and gives a comparable rolling circumferance to the standard 185/60x14 tyres
