having bad imobolizer problems

hello everyone thanks for all the advice putting in the engine that is now all sorted but now Im
having bad imobolizer problems with my alfa 146 1.4ts, when I was changing my engine I keeped the original ecu for the car that I was putting in the engine, but now I noticed that my only key for the car their is a chip broken inside the key{4 legged chip broken} but now Im thinking off changing the egnition barrel and ecu off my other car because I have a old type key for my old but was wondering would I need anything else for this switch over,
Any help would really be appreciated thanks

The immobiliser rfd chip is a sealed unit, so you cant see any discreet parts inside, so I assume you are talking about the remote control PCB inside the key. The immo chip is a small black widget that is clipped inside the key fob.
