Poorly 145!

My 145 Cloverleaf 2.0 16v is causing me real problems at the min! the past week its been struggling to start...done all the basic stuff new plugs etc still no better, now today every time i slow down or go to pull off its cutting out as if the engine has no power...help please someone??

It could be the TDC sensor. If your symptoms are worse when the engine is hot, then that's a good sign (or a bad sign, if you see what I mean).

You can check it because your coils and injector circuits will be "live" but when you crank the engine there is no spark or current "pulse" to the injectors.

Failing that.. it could be a fuel delivery problem. There's a rubber pipe on the fuel pump that connects the pickup to the exit tube moulded into the plastic top of the pump. If it splits or persihes, then the fuel will basically fall out of the pipe before it can feed the fuel pipe.

If you fit any new rubber hose into the fuel tank then it has to be a special hose specifically designed to be permanently immersed in petrol. Normal "fuel injector hose" is not it.
