well, small problem, not too bad, but it happened in a strange way......
basically, i hit the rev limiter (quite hard) in 3rd on a roundabout the other day, a combination of saxo rage and inept gear changing on my part
anyway, immediately afterwards, the red light of death came on, and the car is running a bit poo, and fuel consumption is right up. i got fiatecuscan on the case, and managed to clear the plethora of faults, including the lambda and the MAF. but, the MAF fault has returned as intermittent, and the car is still running a bit crappy. the car was running great before the rev limiter smashing event, so could this cause an issue with the MAF? if so, i will try to get a known good one to try out before i buy a new one.
any advice welcome, as the fuel is costing me a bloomin fortune
