Dipped-beam horizontal allignment is easy to set. Just line the car up 90 degrees to a wall, at about 30 feet.
You will see that each light casts a beam that is horizontal on the right, but raises sharply to the left from the midpoint. The horizontal parts of both must be alligned together.
If the car has had a knock, the the vertical allignment can be put out. This is harder and needs work.
